DUNFERMLINE ART CLUB’S CHARITY FUND RAISER IN AID OF ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH — DECEMBER 2015
A suggestion arose from some members of the club re the production of a calendar depicting local scenes within Fife. Weeks of very hard work were involved by members Ann Hill and Irma Brown assisted by Jen Manson, Margaret White, Elaine Campbell and Roy McGowan. They are to be congratulated on their wonderful achievement.
The calendar went on sale to the public at the club’s Winter Exhibition held in the Kingsgate shopping centre in November, and thereafter in the club’s Gallery which is also situated in the Kingsgate Centre.
The calendars were completely sold out raising a total of £400. In addition, it is the practice of club members to donate money instead of exchanging Christmas cards, and the sum collected this year amounted to £100.
Final total raised for Alzheimers research -£500.
