The following article appeared in The Dunfermline Press 5 May 22 “Dunfermline Art Club have a new featured artist in its Gallery in the Kingsgate.Talented local artist Roy McGowan’s choice of paintings to show is around familiar themes. Landscapes, nature, cars and the people, all feature on the back wall of the gallery. All the paintings are available for sale, but be quick. Roy’s paintings are popular and tend to sell out quickly. Roy’s work forms part of the latest hanging of paintings by club members which will be displayed until the end of June. The Club’s Annual Exhibition will be held in the Gallery during the week starting 24th June.The Gallery is open Fridays and Saturdays from 12 noon until 4pm.Dunfermline Art Club is a local charity which promotes engagement in art for anyone aged 18 and over.With the continued relaxation of restrictions on meeting indoors, the number of members attending the Club’s dedicated Studio in Townhill Community Centre to paint in a social environment has steadily risen over past weeks.”
