The photograph shows a group of Dunfermline Art Club Members “The Calendar Girls and Roy” with a cheque for £500 which will be donated to Alzheimer’s Research. This money was raised from the sale of an art club calendar for 2016 plus an additional donation from art club members.
The calendar featured thirteen paintings on the theme “Fife” voted by club members as the most popular from the many pictures submitted. The calendar was a complete sell out.
The individuals who contributed to the production were Anne Hill (design and printing), Irma Brown and Jen Manson (collation and binding), Roy McGowan (photography) and Margaret White, Freda Danby & Carmel Smith (Sales).
