Having moved all the fixtures, fittings and furniture in the Townhill Studio in preparation for works due to take place on the interior walls during Thursday and Friday (28th & 29th), no one showed up to do the actual work. The following statement from Club Secretary Mike Sutherland-Brown explains some of the immediate consequences of the failure to undertake the work. This has been sent to all members who have provided an email address:
“Frustratingly, the workmen have not yet turned up to do the work on the walls in the studio as promised. Rather than put everything back in place only to have to repeat the procedure, in the hope that the work will be carried out next week, it has been decided to cancel Tuesday night’s workshop with Ken(Young), and to close the Club for all sessions next week. George (Aitken) is trying to get further information from Glenrothes on what is happening and I shall keep you informed if there is any further information.”
